Tara and Carl at Hampton Manor

Tara and Carl got married at their local church, St Peter’s in Harborne, Birmingham, on a gloriously sunny October day.

I started at Tara’s parents house to catch a bit of her preparations (look out for the curious cat) and then went over to Carl’s to get some of him and his groomsmen before heading to the church. They had a wonderful choir during their ceremony and the acoustics of the church made the singing absolutely beautiful.

The reception was held at the stunning Hampton Manor in Warwickshire. The history of the manor goes back to 1066 when it was mentioned in The Doomsday Book and was also at one stage owned by a former Prime Minister.

This is definitely one of my favourite weddings so far, I really like some of the couple and bridal portraits and also the evening party shots had so much energy and colour. This set contains one of my favourite photographs I have taken at a wedding, a photograph of a little girl running, just about to disappear around a corner. To me it really encapsulates the notion of photography capturing a moment, she’s slightly blurred, giving a sense of motion, with her toes just about to leave the floor, a one thousandth of a second captured for eternity, wow. I hope you enjoy looking through this small selection of images from Tara and Carl’s day. When finished why not check out my best wedding photography.
